1950's bedroom furniture - help!

Options
In my LB's home, lives my parent's 1050's bedroom suite (2 wardrobes, dressing table & bedside cabinet). It is in need of a good clean & polish, but has a few small scratches in the wood. It is made of walnut & sapele (rich brown & golden colours).

How can I fill/mask these scratches, and give it a nourishing polish - would beeswax, very lightly applied, rubbed in & polished off, be suitable? I would like it to be as good a finish as possible, as it is something I treasure.

I use a mixture of half and half lemon juice and olive oil - shake it together in a glass jar - apply lightly to furniture - let it "soak into" scratches and leave for a while then rub gently to a shine.

    Thanks for that Elona.

Sounds more like salad dressing! Regular olive oil, not extra virgin then?! :)
