Very confused about Milele vacuum models

I need to buy a new cylinder vacuum cleaner, and have decided to get a Miele, a) because all the reviews rave about them and b) because my son has one and he loves it.
Anyway, could some one please advise me about the different models? I was thinking of getting a Cat and Dog one, as I have 3 short haired dogs, but what's the difference between a S5261 and a T5000?
Also, our flooring is ceramic tiles and laminate, with some rugs, so would the Cat and Dog do well on the hard floors? And does the mini turbo brush come as standard? We have fitted carpet on the stairs so this would be really handy.

http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product/607088/MIELE-S5281-KOI-ORANGE-DEEP-CLEAN/tab/specification?prodType=With Hepa filter fitted. Usually this model does not come fitted with a Hepa according to miele website Specifications.

Good demo of this model here.

All in S range can be fitted with Hepa filter if you really want it.
I have the S5280 they have changed model number. It will last a long time if you remember to empty bag every 3 months and motor filter after 4 bags and change hepa every 12 months.
Its very easy to change bags and filters.
It never gets dirty inside the machine if you do this. It sucks up good on the lowest suction setting and there very little noise on that setting. You wont miss a phone call or the door knocking when using this machine.
Only one machine (£300) on miele website has mini turbo included.
Its available for all machines if you want it.

Just compared and you might want to query with miele.
It seems the S range is cordless and Battery operated in the compare section (features). But if you look in the products section and compare each machine it definately says a NO to this feature on all of them.
Check to see what this Li ION Battery feature is all about and if its available yet on S models.
http://www.miele.co.uk/vacuum-cleaners/s5/SolutionHEPA5281/ Here it says NO in Specifications section. Click to the right of the page on Compare-Add my brochure. On this Flash bit, the Features section shows them all with the cordless Li Ion battery for cordless operation.
Very nice if they do all have it available especially for £199.
They have updated the site none of the machines seem to have this cordless battery yet0 -

Hi mariat,
My name’s Nick and I’m from Comet.
Miele have confirmed that the S5261 is referred to as the Turbo 5000 Cat &Dog cylinder vacuum cleaner, therefore there is no difference between the two.
Based on the information you have supplied, this model would be suitable for your requirements as this model features a surface adjuster which allows the cleaner to be used on a multitude of surface types, including hard flooring.
There are optional accessories with this model, the Parquet Twister brush which provides better performance on hard flooring surfaces, and the Mini Turbo brush which is ideal for vacuuming stairs, removing pet hairs from upholstery and is handy for getting into awkward corners.
Please see the links below which will direct you to the Miele cleaner that you are interested in purchasing, and the recommended accessories.

Can't really advise you but just wanted to say that I got a Miele last year after having gone through a Electrolux, Morphy Richards and a Dyson in the past 9 years and I love it!
Not sure what my model is but is fab on our carpet and wooden floors and picks up the childrens crumbs and dog hairs a treat!
I will def stick with this brand now!0 -
