Mortgage Query - Financially Linked

Hiya

My hubby has a default on his credit file and we fear that this will impact us getting a mortgage, so i am thinking of applying for a mortgage on my own. However, we have a joint bank account and we are both on the mortgage of our current property.

Will this affect me credit rating?

Thanks

    It almost certainly will.

    Really??

We are actually disputing the default at the moment, so hopefully we can get it resolved.

If not, does anyone know if a default would be a big problem getting a mortgage, its for £280 from t-mobile. We actually cancelled the contract but apparently they don't have a note of this...
