just to let anyone local know the balloon fest is on from the 18th-20th august and is a brilliant free day out - they run a cheap park and ride service but the bus routes run right near. I go every year and look forward to it a brilliant free day out for all of the family :T - for those with some extra pennies there is a beer tent  but those of us into money saving take our own in our picnic bag :A
olympic challenge starting 7/1/07:j

The balloons usually come over our house and I get the kids out to watch.
Any truth in the rumour that the organisers couldn't get a music license this year?
shame coz they usually have some great bands on.
The evening glow to music is always a treat, be a bit quiet though if the music isn't allowed...just in case you need to know:

We often go and don't usually spend anything. We park in the streets between the county ground and the race course. Walk in, take a picnic and go in search of the corporate freebies that are usually available. Best free event I've ever been to.
We got lucky this year and went Friday evening - so actually so one of the only launches - fantastic.
What was your all time favourite?
OH likes the underwear ones this year. Rupert and Caramel bunny are up there in my list, but I always had a soft spot for the pylon - haven't seen that for years - mores the pity!7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0
