Damn everyone being a bit harsh. Here to help not to judge people. Unfortunately I can't as its way out of my depth.

Best of luck for resolving it,
    Coeus.
Yeah, fully aware I have been blunt and applying hindsight. And it doesn't help OP very much.

But if it makes a point that sticks in the mind of someone to the point that they think before making a similar mistake, I don't think there is too much wrong with it.

Freedom of speech mate can say whatever you want (subject to moderator's of course).

Just surprised at the number of put downs this guy got. Obviously made a mistake. His mistake to deal with and suffer the consequences.

His post itself will set a good example.

If you borrowed a million roubles, you should owe a million roubles. When the bank released some Swiss Francs for the staged payments, it gets converted into EUROs each time because that's what the developer needs, but the mortgage account should still be denominated in Swiss Francs, because you wanted the mortgage to be in a "stable currency".

If you had got a sterling mortgage on a UK property in 2007, you could be paying 1.5% tracker rate now.

Swings and roundabouts. Sterling might go up in a year, and then you are back on original budget.
