Thanks ofr that Calley, I happen to be looking for one now. The only thing I worry about with this one is the glass jars. I've also seen the following one
http://www.goldshield.co.uk/products-ST03807-YO01-1-41/Truly-Yogurt-Maker.htm
and wonder if any money savers have used this and with what success?? It seems the same as easiyo but is less expensive and the website has free delivery on all uk based internet orders making it look even more attractive.WW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbsWeight today = 17st 6.5lbsLoss to date 32.5lbs!!!0 -
Oooh, that's very tempting, especially as I have been toying with the idea of making yoghurt for a while. Do you think I'd be able to make yoghurt with skimmed milk? What about fruit flavoured yoghurt - is it possible to make it in a commercial yoghurt maker?
Kiwichick: why were you worried about glass jars?0 -
I worry the kids will smash em. I like the easiyo one casue it comes with small plastic containers for your lunchbox but its dearer than the one on the link. I'm wondering if I can get screw top plastic containers on the cheap from somewhere??? DD is at school full time in sept and I would love her to take some with her for lunch.
Also, I am sure there are threads which tell you how to make yogurt very cheaply, with whatever milk you like. I am thinking UHT skim as its so cheap. You also dont need to keep on buying the bases as I recall, you use some of the last yog you made as a base. I'll try to find the thread and see if I can remember how to do a link.WW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbsWeight today = 17st 6.5lbsLoss to date 32.5lbs!!!0 -

I tried it in a food flask but it did not seem to work.
But I now have my mums yoghurt maker and all that is a food flask but dressed up a yogurt maker. But it worked in that. Go figure.

I only ever use a food flask - I make yoghurt at least twice a week and every batch has turned out really well0 -

Would these http://www.tesco.com/superstore/xpi/5/xpi58663255.htm be suitable for a lunch box, I've had a set since dd was weaned and they've lasted about 14 months so far.Sorting my life out one day at a time0 -
OMG - You've just reminded me that I got a set of free small pots with screw top lids 2 years ago from Advent when I was pregnant with DD - they will be perfect and mean I dont need to spend any money to buy more!!!!WW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbsWeight today = 17st 6.5lbsLoss to date 32.5lbs!!!0
