Congratulations!
It entirely depends on how expensive the venue is really. Our venue deposit was £1000, which is around 1/6 of the total cost, but I had a friend whose deposit was £3500 on a £12000 venue, and another who also had a £1000 deposit on a £2000 venue, so I think it can vary quite a lot!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Congratulations. We have 2 venues (1 for the ceremony and 1 for the reception.
Our ceremony venue wanted a 50% deposit (which was about £600) and the reception wanted a £500 deposit.Green and White Barmy Army!0 -
Congrats, lovely ring to! As for deposit our venue is costing close to £3000 and we had to pay a £500 deposit.0

Congratulations! Our venue wanted a 15% deposit - we've also had to pay roughly 50% upfront to the photographer and £50 to the church to secure the date & time.0
