No credit allowed

Hi there,
I tried to start a small business a few years back but it went bust. I ended up with a few thousand in debts which I could not repay. Since then I have become a mature student and have no income apart from my student loans. I can't get any sort of credit. No overdraft or cards or loans.

As a student I spend most of my life in majr financial difficulties. I reently had to go for 3 weeks on £10. My creditors are all aware of my situation and under advice from CAB I even suggested they take me to court for what I owe them. They have refused to do this and still pester me with calls and letters demanding money. This doesn't bother me too much but having nothing but beans on toast for 3 weeks does.

Any suggestions would be helpfull. And no I'm not a home owner so I can't get any money that way.

Please help me if you can.
Charles J

What sort of help do you need mate? I don't want to insult you by giving useless advice but if it is extra money you need I'd be happy to suggest something.

The first and most obvious thing would be to try and find some work outside of your study times.

    Have you looked for work?
What type have you looked for?

Now this might not sound very exciting but the supermarkets have people packing shelves in the evenings. Doesn't require any qualifications.
I know it's not glamourous or desirable but I would have thought that it wouldn't be impossible to get some part time work.

What sort of work would you consider?

Could you do cleaning or ironing.
I would pay abouve minimum wage for someone reliable to do cleaning and ironing.
I would look for the big houses with professional people to offer this kind of service.
If you are working for professional couples who are out all day then you can probably work when it suits you.

If you don't fancy that and want something more practical.
What about offering to cut peoples grass, wash cars etc.

People who are better off than you will pay for this kind of stuff.

Are you having difficulty finding something?
If so what have you tried so far?
