Currys DVD Liteon recorder

Currys have just reduced their Liteon LVW5006 to £79.99. I know there are better ones out their in the £300 price range-Panasonics etc -but is this ok for recording Sky etc, and rewriting onto disc?. Just one other point their next model Liteon is also reduced from £ 119.99 to £99.00. Is this worth the extra £20.00- I can't seem to see alot of difference in the specs. If their is another one out their better than both these please advice. Thanks

The 5115 apparently has no RGB input despite what it says on the box.

I think the 5006 does?

I bought the 5006 last week because I read a review that it would record videos with protected content if you download something - obviously I haven't tried it yet but I'm really happy with the DVD recorder, I've managed to record a fair few of my videos so far, It's very simple, a bit slow to read discs but I'm happy with it!

I bought one of these a few weesk ago from savastore - i'm not an expert but it seems to do the job pretty well, easy to use and I have been told that lite-on make sony's dvd recorders too.

Liteon 5006 is very good, easy to setup and use.

Visit Liteon', website for latest firmware update.

Macrovision fix is also readily available.
