Sorry for the number of questions Im asking

1) On the BR form it says to note down your bank accounts. In prepration for account closing I have transferred my wages into my husands account and he is using the money to pay the day to day living bills. Do I need to inform them of this? And as I want next months wages to go straight to husbands account is this ok to do?

2)It asks to disclose pension fund. I have a very old works pension which I have the paperwork and makes no sense, it gives 3 different figures for the same year can anone help it says
- £10580 my future pension excluding protected rights
- £97774 my future protected rights pension
then on another piece of paper it says my total value of fund is £16,908
confused??!!

3) why does it ask for your employer details - will they be contacting them?

just thought of another

4)on 6.7 and 6.8 it asks for husbands contribution. What do I put here - the full amount he earns or a proportion and if so what is the proportion? (he pays a few of the outgoings but I pay most as he isnt earning he just gets ESA)

    1) no need to put that account on the forms as it is your husbands not yours, it is fine to put your income into his account.

    2) Put the biggest number down, it really matters more that they have the details of who it is with and the ref number nore than the actual amount.

    3) They usually dont, but they could if they wanted to

    thanks thats helpful

    I have another question sorry

when you have to disclose what you pay out each month it only contains certain categories. For instance I pay out in childcare, daughter to attend swimming club - Do I put these down as 'essential payments'?

Put down everything you spend, there is a box at the bottom to add extra things and you can also use section 13. Generally i would say put down everything and be prepared that the OR might knock a couple off, if you dont put them down you definitly wont have them included, if you do put them down they might or might not be included

  • A few have printed out the make sense of cards SOA and popped it in with the papers as well and it seems to have been appreciated.

thanks for that I will print out that

i've just done our outgoings again and had missed off car insurance and put money aside each month for mot and now the difference between income and expenditure is -£60 ! there is nothing extravengent in there either

Now with regards to other half do I just put down the exact amount he contributes towards the bills? (the remainder of his income he puts towards his Credit cads and account fees)
  • Yep! just put his contribution, not his full wage. As you say he has his own bills.

If you want it checked over you can put it up on the board or PM it to one of the regulars, most won't mind.
