Katie - I voted for you & left a comment to say what a really nice thing you are doing:D
Sweetie - voted for your pal - what a figure she has:eek: - I really need to stop admiring my new trainers while they are in there box & get them on my feet - the are the ones that give you an RS like a 19 year old (£15 from the grabbit thread) - so far they make me look like I have the RS of a 42 year old:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
NNW - having a nice south african pinotage (from my freebie box delivered yesterday) & some KP chilli nuts from my non winning packet:)

thank you finatra :) they e-mailed me to say they were looking for collectors and would I help and I said I would, cant wait to do it too as I want to help the dogs as much as I can as they are so loving but so sad to see them in kennels not rehomed. Some are lucky and get rehomed but the charity tries to rehome as many dogs as they can,I love my dog walking very much and I will go tomorrow to do more to help them.Doesnt take much I walk 2 dogs each time I go so I get fit and the dogs get out for a bit as well.

You're welcome Katie - big dog lover myself but couldn't have one due to the long hours we both work - I thought about doing the dog walking for our local dog home before but know I would get too attached & want to keep them

    :hello: Finatra,

I went there for the first time on 8th March 2010 and registered as a dog walker.I met a collie/Springer called Rosie.I got to know her a lot as she did me and soon we formed a special bond.I always walked her and each time I went to the kennels I went to her straight away. One day I went and a kennel lady told me a couple were interested in rehoming her,I went really and tried to smile for Rosie but then the tears just flowed and flowed right there and then in the kennels,I was sobbing,I could have been like Alice in Wonderland the way I cried so much :rotfl:I took a photo of Rosie to remember her by and asked the kennel manager for a photo and when I next went I got a laughing Rosie photo which was laminated and last week I got free dogfood for the dogs as a donation as they were so kind to me and it was a 2kg bag.

I have walked dogs now for 2 months and its so enjoyable and I have made friends with other dog walkers and if I see them, they give me a lift into town in their car which is so nice of them or I bus down to town if they are not ready.Today I am at my parents for lunch then I am off to a service in Exeter like the Causeway group I go to in Teignmouth so that will make a nice change as someone is kindly giving me a lift as they are taking another friend to the same place also.

    love and light,

    Morning Katie :)

Hope you have a nice time with your parents and at the service, really good to see how much you enjoy the dog walking! It must be sad when the dogs leave but hopefully they have gone to at good home and will have a happy life :)

    Morning Nat,

yes it is sad when the dogs go to a new home but that is why they are at the kennels until a home can be found for them.I know Rosie who I have walked is having a nice new life and enjoying her new found freedom.

I have a photo of her and look at that every day and smile.

Gemma - massage your tum in an anti clockwise direction firmly but not too firmly - my wee nephew gets sore tum & this always works when I do this (usually constipation with him though)
