years ago got a semi wild, skinny, flea bitten nasty little black & white cat from cat rescue, they said we'd never train him & he'd always be half wild ... he terrorized the neighbours dogs
still stole food even though his dish was full  scratched me & DH
to bits & bit us sometimes  the vet always wore gauntlets when we took him for his appointments :D

he was a character & tough as old boots

but with lots of love & patience korky
ended up a little bit fat lovely, cuddly, softie :D
sadly he got old & had kidney problems  so the
horrible deed had to be done

so i just kind of registered with korkythekat as
i loved him so much :o
    he'll never be forgotten
'specially by the neighbours dogs :rotfl::rotfl:

    ps: i'm female :D

    thanks korky is gorgeous

Awwww Korky, was he resurrected as my neighbour's cat :o aww hunni you sound like you gave him so much love, which is not surprising knowing you here..

mmmm I am obviously female :o don't really know why I chose this name...I think I did a short story called No Name Woman as part of my course, and I think it has, only slightly, some parallels with how I feel re living-on-a-hyphen, the inbetweeness if this makes sense...anyway enough philosophising, and yes, I did have a tiny brandy before you ask :D

will be good for your horse to have some more shelter :)
& the isle of man is a lovely place, we holidayed there a few years ago & loved it :)

    Hello Peeps:beer:

Isle of Man is a beautiful place. lived there from end of 1994 - aug 2002 ( bought breeze aug 2000) .
saw first TT races 2005 and went out n got meself a motorbike :D. was 17 . n got myself a 650cc when i was 19, cant imagine why the insurance was so high those days:cool:
co drove in a 12 stage rally and all sorts.
wish id never left as maybe lots of things that have happened wouldnt have.
But, all my friends can;t wait to see me and horse again, and although it will feel strange going back i am looking forward to it:D
( well, once my horse and cats are there safe i will be:rotfl:).
and i wont be working 24/7 and out from 6am til midnight or not home again that night due to be too busy and crashing at friends houses:rotfl: . will still do the going to cocktail bar thing tho:beer:
Oh and my friend that had the car crash in december, is alot better, ( not able to go to work etc though) and can speak again etc. and back in her own home:j so we will be able to chill out and catch up. beer and a game of pool, like the old days.

OK am rambling, got a mega headache so best go finish the dailies.

    Korky,
love the photos of your cat, gorgeous.
one of my ferals that stalked me, and moved in when he was 1.5 years old, was a bit wild ( very, and fast with teeth and claws, if i annoyed him he would jump onto my shoulder and chew on my arm/neck. quite vicious) He is so sweet and loves his cuddles, jumps into my arms on command, and goes for walks on the lead. I think with alot of them, time, patience and tlc works well.
on the other hand we have one that looks very like a scottish wild cat, cant meow, just chirps etc. and very wild.
    am rambling again.
