Volcanic costs
Money Box listeners stranded abroad at the height of the volcanic ash crisis have been telling us that in some cases they face bills of thousands of pounds for using the internet.
Regular listener, Tom Burton, was shocked to receive a bill of more than £7,000 from his mobile broadband provider O2.
Tom downloaded a massive amount of data to allow him to listen to his favourite Radio 4 programmes - including Money Box.
O2 insists it did send him warnings about his rapidly mounting bill and has now offered to reduce it to just under £3,000.
The programme hears from Tom Burton and also from Matthew Wheeler from the comparison website uSwitch about how those mobile broadband bills can easily mount up.xx JoJo xx
