Ok, major problem, re wedding, We can have the Zoo rooms, and can have the registrar there, but!....... the food they do is not really what we want, we are more liking simple things like, sandwiches, quiche, crisps, nibbles, salad, rolls, that sort of thing, buffet bits, but there buffet bits are quite posh bits, now I don't know what to do, we absolutely love the idea of getting married at the zoo as they whole party get to go around the zoo after for free, and as we are not really party disco people this is brilliant, but now the food is the issue, anyone have any other ideas, for something different?? Please......lol I am so stressed already :o

    :hello: Emma,

I dont know really what to suggest, depending on budget for wedding, could you get caterers in or ask an establishment near the zoo to provide sandwiches, nibbles perhaps for a certain cost that you and OH can afford.

Thanks for link Rat girl - sent off for one & will get my dad to do the same - hopefully 2 happy nephews coming up

Ratgirl - It really won't matter too much what you have to eat at your wedding - you will remember the great day you had more than anything - would it be possible to do the wedding part , then the zoo bit & then take the guests to a local pub or something for food that you all like better?

Thanks for the suggestions, we want to actually get married at the zoo, the reigistrar will come there to do the ceremony, we will ask about getting outside caterers, budget is tight, but managable, we feel the food does matter, as we really don't like posh food....lol, would rather have kiddies food, jelly and ice cream...hehehe

Just a thought I wonder if they do do childrens birthday parties etc. If they do you could ask for them to provide a "birthday tea" for your wedding reception.
Hope this does not sound daft.

Hi Ratgirl - sorry I didn't put that very well:( Just read it back & it sound a bit rude & I didn't mean it to:(

Of course everything matters about your big day:D

I think bishopsgirls idea is great they are probably showing you the 'wedding buffet' menus & have other menu's available which you might like better
