That'll teach me. I thought about going down the "Yes, no, depends on the employer and the number of employees and the circumstances and a percentage calculation comes into it and it used to be that the employers could reclaim all the SSP and actually they don't reclaim it but offset it against PAYE and keep records" route and decided against it ;-)

Suffice to say that under certain circumstances some employers can reclaim some or all of the SSP.

Stop talking out of your !""!. The number of cases being taken the the ET / EAT are on a rise. And just because companies often appear in the top 100 companies list doesn't mean that they are treating their employees fairly.
