Soap ends query

Options
Years ago I remember seeing a mould or something where you can mash all your soap ends together to make a new soap.

Does anyone know whether you can still get these or where you may get them from?

Thanks

I got one from bettaware years ago but I would go along with smashing's idea as its cheaper and the bw gadget wasn't much to write home about.

You could make a pouch out of a flannel and put the soap bits in to use when showering or bathing.

  • Hi there

I bought a Soap Saver years ago from QVC..its a tub with beads inside that you fill up with water and little soap ends and it turns into liquid soap. I pour into a empty liquid soap bottle and have never since bought handwash.
  • Thanks very much for all your ideas.
Thanks Smashing -I like the fact that I can use any container.
Thanks Welshmum for the review about the soap saver - i'll know not to buy it.
The idea of the soap saver that turns it into liquid soap sounds fascinating Welshmum. Was it expensive? Also, do you know how long the gadget lasts?

    Thanks again
  • I just stick the old bit of soap onto a new bar! If you roughen each side with a nailbrush it sticks nicely. I always buy the same brand anyway so you don't even see the join after a few uses. (Sainsbury's economy soap, three bars for 19p).

  • oops Nanamags, I seemed to have missed your earlier post. That is also a good idea. Thanks!!!

Thanks Austin Allegro for your idea too. I wiouldn't have thought of the nailbrush to help it stick.

I think I'll be off to Sainsburys when my soap runs out

They are all excellent ideas, I'll just have to decide on which one to use (once I've gathered enough soap ends).
