Baking Potatoes

We are helping with the catering at a charity event this weekend and need to make 60 jacket potatoes.
Can anyone suggest a supermarket that has a deal on baking potatoes?
ASDA, Tesco, Morrisons, Netto, ALDI??
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cash and Carry do boxes of baking spuds if you know someone that will lend you there membership cards or if not ask in your local pub if they will order you a box from there supplier.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. My local Asian shop sells 25kilo bags of potatoes for £3.50! Any local to where you live?
Whilst they are all different sized in the bags, I've personally had more than 60 baked ones sized out of them, and two weeks later i'm still ploughing through the bag- it's never ending:rotfl:0 -
To be honest I'm a bit niave when it comes to food shopping other than them main supermarkets. I know that at one time Morrisons were doing cheap spuds but I don't think so now.
Thanks for the tip about tescos.0 -
My mum has just come back from asda with a 2.5kg bag of baking spuds for £1. Couldnt tell you in individual terms how many were in the bag as it would have meant nosing through her shopping when she came home.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Cheers for that, there's both an ASDA and a Tesco's on my journey home, will give them both a try as they seem to be good options.
