A friend of mine who's other half works for social services in Liverpool, said there is more than a minority of people in the region who's focus in life is to scam the system for as much as possible, without doing a single days work in their entire lives.
Not everyone without work is looking and it's these people who need help, dare I say even be forced to work - tidying up the local area, would be a start.0 -
After 3 years of being on JSA, somebody's most likely to be the "can't be 4rsed" type. So maybe JSA should be renamed CBA after 3 years. And claiming CBA excludes you from all the extra freebies going (like reduced entry, free entry, free courses). Then reduce the benefit by 3% each year, and the benefit is ONLY paid if you are at the JobCentre at 9am each Monday and Tuesday (give them a feel for getting up and being somewhere on time).0

But doesn't this mean a new benefit will have to be created? Bit unfair to expect people who can't afford a watch to get anywhere on time.

That is GENIUS. :T:T:T
Love it.
You should have a career as a social policy thinker.
Do you think we could take it a bit further and rename all our benefits system to more accurately reflect their true recipients?
Could be most entertaining...0 -
