help closing my mortgage

I've made my final payment to Northern Rock - currently waiting for letter saying all paid and the deeds.

I received a letter from Land Registry saying they have completed an application for the cancellation of the entries relating to the charge dates xxxxxx in favour of northern rock plc. I can pay £4 to acess the title register online or £8 for an official copy.

Not really sure why I would want these?

what else should i receive?
what else should I do?

Anything else I should be aware of?

I'd pay for the document and frame it !!

pretty chuffed. Northern rock sent registered delivery this morning confirmation of loan paid in full :j. Confirmed an electronic discharge had been made to Land Registry. They have also sent through title documents consisting of :

section 63 notice with office copies
bankruptcy search
local search
land registry search.


Is there anything else I should get or anything else I need to do?

or just sit back and have a beer!

i read somewhere - although can't find the link. I maybe need to contact insurance company and remove mortgage company from file.

or something like that.


seems like I get the deeds certificate from the land registry office.
