t-mobile/ 1st credit

My 8and half month pregnant daughter having real problems through no fault of her own from 1st Credit( t-mobiles thugs).
She's had prob's with both phone and dongle coverage, t-mobile last year guarenteed coverage and if not would take them back. That was until the time. The shop didn;t want to know. My daughter went in numerous times and got no where. She was contacted by 1st credit towards end of last yr saying she owed £500. This I paid at £50 a week til paid.(mid-January)
She heard nothing then until beginning of this week when she got a phone call saying she now owed 1st credit £947.81. She tried to explain that we had paid the £500 that initially they said she owed and that the phones and dongle had not been used at all. They gave her until tomorrow to pay up or else.
She phone today and 1st Credit would NOT listen, they were abrupt with her and ended up having her in tears. As she said to them she wasn't working now as she was 8months pregnant and all she could afford to pay was £5 a week. This they laughed at.
After phoning me in tears I then phoned 1st Credit and obviously got one of their people with no skills with public. Again he wouldn't listen and when I offered to pay for her £100 a month, he said they would not accept anything but full payment( reduced by £100 if I paid now)
Told him I would go to FSA, local MP and press and let them know how unco-operative they were. I kept informing him they have no right to speak to people they way they do and especially my 8month pregnant daughter who they twice have upset this week. He said they had informed her that this had to be paid or they'd take her to court and no offer other than full payment was enough.
Just a question...My daughter offered £5 a week which in her situation is what I would say was a 'fair'offer.Obviously I would help and offered this to 1st credit but they laughed at that.
I've emailed t-mobile to state how annoyed I am with how they deal with people who through no fault of ther own find themselves being harrassed by thugs.
Can anyone help me in trying to sort this problem out as I really don;t want my daughter in the state they have made her this week.
Thanking u.

I would certainly contact trading standards, OFT and the FOS over 1st credit, like all DCAs they are not reputable by any means.
In the first instance, if you had a written guaranteed of coverage you should have brought this up with T-Mobile and placed the account in dispute along time ago.
As to 1st credit, They should have sent out a balance of the debt explaining the amount. 1st credit cannot add charges, if the bill was £500 it cannot increase. So if that was paid they should not be chasing for anymore.
I would probably go with the prove it letter approach now as the amounts been requested as unjustified and you are no longer confident of your liability to the amount stated, you want a full statement of how the balance is made up. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=11570893&postcount=2Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Did they have your daughters authority to speak with you about this? If not I'm pretty certain you can include it in your complaint0

I could speak to them as long as I gave my daughter's name and date of birth and first line of address, but I suppose they'd speak to anyone if they thought they'd get the money.0
