who's having what and why?:T
im unsure on both
would like the plate so can have it on show unlike the book which will be put in a draw!
but dont think every guest would have alot of more to right on the plate!

I love the idea of a signature plate rather than a guest book. Mainly because we can show it off. I imagine our guest book would end up with loads of blank pages at the end:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea

What's a signature plate?
I've seen a photo of the bride and groom, blown up and put in the middle of a large white border, then the guests have all signed and left comments on the border. Once it's finished, it can be framed and hung up ~ that looked cool!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Personally, I prefer plates.....because they are a record of who was there to celebrate your day with you.
If I was asked to write a message in a book, it wouldn't be very personal, because I wouldn't want everyone else reading it.
If you think you will display a plate, and the book will just go in a drawer....there is your answer!!Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Yey!! YIPPEE!!0 -
Wouldn't you have to have a massive plate though?

Im doing that tree thing that was on here a few days ago. The one where you have a tree outline and the guests make green fingerprints for the leaves and sign it. Think its a great idea and i can put it up on the wall afterwards..:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0

The book. We've got 180 people coming - we'd need an entire dinner service for them to write on! Plus I love my friends wedding book, people write proper heartfelt messages rather than just a signiture, and its lovely to flick through. And I think the book has a longer lifespan, I'd be sure to knock the plate over and destroy itDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That's really lovely, but very expensive!
I'd be scared that someone would be very drunk, stagger and scrawl a big line/mark over it, and knowing my luck, it would probably happen!:rotfl:Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0
