where can I buy "beer" sized wine bottles?

Options
I'm about to start making my flavoured vodka for xmas present in the next few weeks and want small wine bottles (enough for 1 person) to put the plonk into!

I'm making hampers with a small bottle of vodka, a tumbler, a mini christmas cake and either H/M Fudge or Truffles. so I only want small bottled and can only find beer bottles but you can't cork them or screw top the lids!

help please!

Quit often restaurants and hotels have small glass water bottles which would be the size you're after, since they would have no use for them why not aproach the manager and ask them to save you some empties? they'd be free and you could just soak off the labels.

If you;re careful when you take beer lids off that you don't bend them, you can shove them back on again. You would need to paint them with nail varnish to hide the logo, but it's simple enough and you get to drink the beer first!

These (350ml) work out at about £1.50 each (ex P&P), but you have to order 30 of them.

These (100ml) are cheaper, but you have to order 52 of them.

Or these 250ml sauce bottles are probably the cheapest. Again, you have to order 30 but at a cost of only £10.50. That works out at only 35p each :) Although they're sauce bottles, I think they would be fine.

My local Asda sells small bottles of wine suitable for one person. I'm sure they have a screw top cap. You could use them, having errr disposed of the contents and soaked the labels off.

We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

Tesco sell small bottles of wine at around £1.50 each. I recommend the J P Chenet Cinsault-Grenache for £1.46 if you like Rose, clear bottels when empty and the lids screw back on:D. All the others I've seen are green bottles unfortuantely.
