  • I used this when I moved in the beginning of the year. Just dont rely on them telling your services that you are moving. Only one of my services got notification.

This is advertised to consumer when a mail redirect is set up. Nice feature but noticed many of the companies listed still require a physical letter. Yes the site will make the letter for you and give the correct address, but I think it takes over six weeks in some cases as opposed to just phoning them and letting them know.

So I think its a great idea but if you find most of the companies are letter only, perhaps phoning a company each day is a lot quicker.

On a slightly different topic, I only realised when I moved that HSBC out of 5 internet banking accounts I have, are the only ones that let you update your address online. A little weird.
  • I just moved last week and didn't know about a lot of sites to use to help me move, but used https://www.iammoving.com to tell all my companies I moved and it worked great. Unlike misbehaving I got a lot of confirmation emails that the companies did something so maybe they have now sorted this bit!

It looks like its a Royal Mail service or a trial product of theres to redirections. If that's so that would be great to finally get rid of redirections which doesn't work (based on my and my friends experience), but this looks ace.

Also, I'm not keen on prize draws or believe in them, but these guys have a years mortgage free draw which would be nice to win.

Also, one final also, i tried a removal company that said they gave me free boxes, free insurance, etc and none of it was true. Watch the fine print!
