Northern Rock Application

My partner is in the process of removing his ex from their mortgage and we are hoping to add my name to the mortgage. How likely is it that Northern Rock will accept me on the mortgage, I have a ‘fair’ credit rating but have an outstanding personal loan of £9000 and a credit card with £4000 on it. I have never missed a payment on a loan or card, ever, but only have a fair rating due to my large outstanding debt and because I have applied for credit in the last few months (I won’t be applying for credit again for a good while and we have a few months before we’d be applying for the mortgage, so hopefully this will help my credit rating)

The mortgage is for £102,000 and my partner earns £23,000 (but he is obviously already named on the mortgage) and I earn £21,500. I am worried that I will not be accepted on the mortgage due to my credit score, does anyone know how Northern Rock are likely to react to my application??

I think it's safe to say that, at the moment, nobody knows what the hell Northern Rock will do. They seem to accept applications that you'd expect to be rejected and they turn away applicants you'd think NR would bite the hands off of.
