Tax notice of coding for pensioners

Why is it that having retired at age 60 (entitled as a woman) not early, that I have to wait for the increased notice of coding given to men when they retire. I will have to wait for two years after my husband retires to get an equavalent notice of coding, which means I will pay more tax on my pension than he will on his!:(

That's the equality that us women have fought for and you're lucky that you are old enough to be able to claim your state pension 5 years before men. I'm not getting to claim my state pension until I'm 66
which I accept as fair. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

You are right. But do not fret, soon it will be fair. They are raising the age for women to start claiming state pension to 65.
Maybe you can tell us why it is fair that you get to retire AND get the increased tax code at the age of 60 just because you are a woman?0
