where can I get cheap but not cheap looking bridesmaid dresses?

A few months ago I went to a 'bridal fayre' at a hotel where one a shop was getting rid of its old stock. They had dozens of wedding dresses for about £100 and scores of bridesmaid dresses for £20 each!!!!
It was mad in there and I focused on trying to get a dress I liked but I could not find one and then by that time (20 mins) most of the bridesmaid dresses were gone. I did get two flowergirl dresses.
Is there anywhere (including online) where I can get a decent bridesmaid dress for under £50? two size ten, one size 14 one size 12.
I would love bright citrus/summer colours. I have not had much luck on ebay - could anyone offer any suggestions?
many thanks

Depends whether you're looking for traditional "bridesmaid" dresses, or if any nice dress will do.
My sister got her BM's dresses from the high street.
They were beautiful pink silk, only £50, and I've worn mine again and again, so definately value for money!0 -
Do you live near any of the Mc Arthur Glen's? The Coast and Jayne Norman stores have amazing bargains and should certainly have plenty for your price range.
I bought my BM dresses in House of fraser coast dept last year thinking i had a bargain @ £65 each as these were half price, i then went on to see them for £37 in the outlet.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Check out some USA sites. My daughter bought her wedding dress online from a bridal studio in New York. Cost here nearly £1000 - same dress (not a copy) from New York including p&p £250. Loads of bridesmaid dresses online. If you are worried about sizing, just email them the exact measurements. You will not be disappointed, and you will save a fortune.0

ASOS.com - my sister's dress is from Coast reduced to £58 - she saw it in Debenhams a couple of weeks ago for £135 still! BARGAIN!!! They do some lovely Prom dresses which are appropriate and they've usually got some kind of sale on x0
