ebay bridal jewellery - not impressed!

Just thought I would give a heads up; hopefully it will help if anyones considering this.
I wanted some john richard jewellery from debenhams but it's quite pricey (I must admit, I had some 8 years ago for my 30th and it still looks brilliant now) and I'd seem similar on ebay by an "australian" seller which got quite good feedback. They've got hundreds of items for sale under "bridal necklace".
I took a chance and sent off for 2 necklaces which arrived yesterday.
As some of the feedback did point out (so I wasn't surprised) these came from Hong Kong not Oz and although they are "ok" they aren't brilliant.
The stones are wonky and the pieces themselves feel like they are made out of tin! They are very, very lighweight. All the stones are glued not set. All in all for the money (although the postage was a total ripoff!) I paid for what I got, which is what you would expect for £6 a necklace!! Maybe okay for bridesmaids or a hen night, but personally not for me on the big day.
So just to let people know, if you are thinking of this, don't be expecting some wonderful bargain for the price!
If anyone has any tips for DECENT quality MSE bridal bling, please let me know!

There are quite a few sellers on ebay selling John Richards bridal jewellery (mostly brides selling it second hand after the wedding) Might be worth looking at those? Much cheaper than buying it new and you know the quality.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0

I've got some Jon Richard Jewellery that I'm not going to be wearing now.
It's the 'Lydia' set in gold/diamontee and a pearl necklace and earrings.
How long do you think this post will last? lolTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Damn shame it's gold not silver... otherwise i'd have been v. interested!!0

We'll all be bidding for the same stuff!!! All sat at our PC/Laptop like real Bridezillas bidding away on the same necklaces. Can just see it. :rotfl::jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
just pottering around online and spotting some pretty nice bridal jewellery on this site http://www.weddingtiarasandjewellery.co.uk/

I managed to get a really pretty 2nd hand set from ebay end of last year. Original price was £75 and I paid £15 for necklace, earings (that were unused) and a bracelet. Silver and diamonte - really pretty and match my dress perfectly. So keep watching ebay as bargains to be had! There are only two things a child will share willingly - communicable diseases and their mother's real age0
