Hi I too have just been knocked back by Nat West!
The next step is to send a letter before action, then after 14 days it's the threat of court - see Martin's tips on how to word your letter
    Good luck

Yeah, they're hoping you just can't be bothered to keep pushing as far as court. A lot of people would just give up right now, letting them keep their money.

    Good luck with your claim!

Yeah, Capital One like to make this big thing out of saying their charges are 'fair' and 'correctly applied'.

With mine it got as far as issuing a claim with moneyclaim and Cap1 stating they will defend. Then they sent me a letter agreeing to refund all charges and interest and court fees - but please call off the dogs!

They will send you an agreement to sign - make sure you take a copy and if you're unhappy with anything in it - like mine said I wouldn't take any further action against them - I crossed that bit out and wrote them a letter saying if they continue to apply unlawful charges to my account then I will challenge them. Just make sure you send a letter back with the signed agreement and they will accept it.
