Sky+ Hd for free

Hi,

I am on a "18/month sky tv only package. I have Sky+ pace box.

The sound freezes and is unclear and sometimes the whole box freezes and a hard restart is required.

I want to get a HD box even though I don't have a HD tv.

Anyone got any ideas? Any news on deals, etc?

There is an option for self set up but then £10/month is attached for HD sub.

my hd box does the same, the EPG starts to lag like crazy and eventually just hangs, in fact every sky box i have ever owned from the original amstrad when it first came out has needed to be rebooted at least once a week :mad:

They don't supply the Sky+ boxes any more. You would get an HD box now anyways, but it is possible to get the box without subscribing to the HD channels. Are you still within your 18 months?

Guess we've been quite lucky then.

Our old Thomson + box only locked up occasionally.

Our newer Amstrad HD box has maybe been reset half a dozen times since we got it a year ago, and they've mostly been for missing EPG data.
