Hi all, Iva just failed today. help needed asap

Hi, had a letter today saying my iva had failed. I knew this was going to happen etc.
Ok I have a normal bank account with loyyds that my wages get paid into etc. Now am about to declair br asap. What happens to that account? Any advice? Do I open a new account that i well use during my br and have wages paid into that asap?
Also what happens to my mobile contract.
Any help would be great. Many thanks

    You will need to open a basic account either with the Co-op (cashminder account) or a Barclays basic account. These are the only BR friendly banks that I know of. Any other accounts you have will almost certainly be frozen when you go BR. I would open one ASAP. If you are not in arrears with your mobile then there is no reason why you cannot keep it if you can afford it.

    should i change my wages to go into that account straight away? Also what well happen to the account after br?

    Personally I would as long you do not have any debts with them. As long as you are not in Brighton the account will be fine, but for some reason the OR in Brighton closes any accounts pre BR and makes you open a new one post BR.

    Well that is your decision, I opened mine 3 months before BR and transferred all my DD`s and SO`s and incomes into it so it was all up and running before I went BR. Told the OR about the account and they said they had no interest in it as long as it was the cashminder account.

    I applied for co-op account 2 days ago and was asked why was I opening that account as its mainly for BR and I said I was applying for BR and it all went ahead.
