WooHooo!! Debt free here I come!

I'm a bit excited :j

Just finished rearranging my credit card debts and have been able at last to do an accurate snowball calculation. With my current debts (cards and loans)at around £39000 I could be debt free by November 2009:D This is assuming I don't increase the amount I am paying off, which is a possibility, so I may be debt free even sooner.

Of course I will have to avoid a lifetimes habit of taking on more debt and credit whenever I see something I want, but I had a pretty shattering lightbulb moment so I feel more in control now than I ever have.

Wish me luck!

Steve

Hey Steve - that's great news! You'll love seeing that figure come tumbling down.

I hope you find something you can 'hold on to' to keep giving you that boost or virtual kick up the bum if you are tempted to stray from the path (as we all do!).

Keep coming back on here for inspiration, advice and general support.

Good Luck Steve, It's great having a goal.

I have found that by cutting back on things even if a small amount and chucking that extra few quid at my debts really helps and will bring that date forward even sooner.

Brilliant post Steve ! Very inspiring. Well done.
It's something I haven't sat down and done as yet, I'm still muddling though after some blips but it is top of my to do list.
