Mortgage Company Sending Field Agent!!!

Afternoon all.
I am due in Court for BR on 25th June. I have been told not to bother paying Creditors and just ignore them until BR is done and dusted, however, I have recieved a letter from my mortgage company advising they will send a 'field agent' out to see me, and charge me £90 for the pleasure, if I do not contact them in 5 days!!
I do not live in the house with a mortgage on it, it is unoccupied - long story.
What do I do??

This is typical of the scare-mongering tactics they employ to get you on the phone offering a repayment.
I'd suggest calling the number on the letter and tell them that you will not answer the door to the agent, invite them into your home or engage them in a conversation about your personal finances on your doorstep. Tell them you're calling to tell them this as a courtesy to them and that if they subsequently send someone out then that's their issue. Ask them to commit any comments they have for you in writing so that you may consider this and respond in writing.
Otherwise, ignore it, hope it rains when he/she is standing on your doorstep and just turn up the telly volume when you're watching it so you don't hear the doorbell!0 -
seriously...dont worry!
I thought the same as you when you see these notes with deadlines and 'urgent' on them!
Yes either way you get charged (dont make a differnce to our debt amount!) but they wont come in if you dont want them and they only came round to ours for 3 attempts...think they realised we were not playing ball!!!0 -
