Need some advice, regarding student loans.

I have been paying student loan since 2007. It appears on my pay slips and on p60. Last year I noticed on the final loan statement that they did not deduct any money form my student loan. Total they have deducted only £83 or something for whole year. I called them and they asked me to prove it by sending P60. I did that for all year except 08-09. I change my job so did not have first 9 months p60. They asked me to send all pay slips and I did that. they said everything is sorted and send me letter saying around 1.5k is deducted from final balance. I asked them to send full statement and said you will receive final statement in April 2010.

I received statement couple of days ago and still it's not deducted. I called them and they said they don't accept pay slips. I told them that I don't have p60 and suggest me alternative. He was going to talk to his manager and tax office regarding this.

My previous company is closed down. Not sure how to get p60. Do I really need p60 when I can produce all pay slips?

How come they don't give full statement like we receive in bank statement?

Any suggestion?

Thank you in advance.

Just a thought - make sure they apply the interest correctly. Obv if they had taken the funds off the balance at the right time you would have been charged less interest so taking it off a couple of years later has allowed more interest to accrue.
