Window Handles.........

Can anyone recommend someone in the Newtownabbey area who repairs lockable window handles. I got a quote of around £90 (Windows 2000) to repair one handle !! Thanks

I found windows 2000 extortionate...try some of the people quoted on the N.I thread for pvc windows further back. prestige seem reasonable
  • I know this is months later but I got 4 Locking Handles with 2 Keys each from Bowmans in Banbridge for £5 each - just took out the two screws holding the old handles and screwed them back in with the new handles - 5 minutes each window!
  • Thanks thats great, but my problem is the 2 screws and the bar are jammed tight in the window frame, and I think the only way to get them out is by taking the window out and replacing the locking mechanism, and unfortunately its a costly exercise, so i'm still (after about 1.5yrs) making do with pliers.
