Online Surveys - Good Idea?

I've been trying to think of ways to earn some more money. I've come accross a website that says I can earn money for taking part in surveys, from £5 - £75 per survey!! You have to pay a one off registration fee of £32, is this a con, does anyone know?!

Web address is: https://www.paidopinionsonline.co.uk

There are free sites such as https://www.lightspeedpanel.com and https://www.valuedopinions.co.uk although you won't get paid as much as that, maybe £1/£2 a survey.

Anything you have to pay to take part in is probably not worth the money spent or is a scam.

I would be surprised if you get one or two a year for your subscription fee - and remember they are advertising them as anything from £5 to £75 per survey. They only have to offer ONE survery to ONE person per year at £75 to be able to make that claim. Which amount do you truely think you are really going to get?

Go for the free ones. There are lots and lots out there, but as previously posted, only a little at a time. So far this year though I have had £15 out of Valued Opinions, £20 from juicy brains and £20 worth nectar points with TNS.

  • I give Ciao the thumbs up too. You're not going to get rich, but it all adds up over time. Last time I cashed in my account, I had about £30 on there (they credit the money to your account) - and at the moment I have another £25. I will say this is over a long period though --- but it's money for old rope really!

  • Hi,

Just wanted to ask if payments are classified as income? Would these need to be declared to the Inland Revenue if self employed, employed etc?

    Thanks!
  • I would go for yougov it can be slow as you need to build up £50 before they pay out. I have over £30 already this year.

    try:
Ciao, Mutualpoints (just click on some links and you get points - don't have to buy anything), dooyoo (a review site that pays for reviews), global test market, valued opinions, global opinions and homeof research.

It can be slow building up money, which is not very much, so don't be relying on these as income. Time may be better spent having a part time job.
Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!
