Hi there,

First thread so apologies in advance!

If you buy the Nokia 1680 (cant post links but Tesco direct catalogue no. 205-2201) for 12.36 you can then recycle it with Fonebank for £10. A cost of 2.36 for 224 points.

On top of this you can earn £3 cashback through Quidco or TCB for a first recycled phone order. This decreases to £1.50 if you already have an account (you could use a different email address...).

TCB are offering 8% Tesco direct cashback, therefore another 99p (every little helps  )

After all this, if you have the heart you could even sell the phone battery and charger (neither required by Fonebank).

Hope this helps someone :)

  • this looks good...ive been hunting high and low for a points booster like this with minimum capital lol thanks OP:beer:
Everyone who thanks me when ive helped will get a 5% share when I win this weeks Euromillions......:p
  • If you order four plus something for £1 you will get approx 1400 points as 500 points for over £50 spend. Also can recycle with tesco mobile for £5 each plus 200 CC points each which convert to £8. So all in all its approx 1400 plus 800 + 2200 which converts to £88 plus you get £20 cashback for the phones for recycling and 8% Topcash.back. I think that is right
  • Unfortunately Tesco have a "bulk buy" policy...
"We operate a bulk purchase policy. In the wider interests of all our customers, purchases are restricted to a maximum of one mobile phones or two SIM cards per custom"

Otherwise would have been a great idea. Maybe use in conjunction with the grow-bag greenhouse thingy?
  • Hi there

Its letting me go through with the order. Not sure if its because its clearance stuff.

Normally Tesco Decline your order further down the line if you order more than 1 phone at a time. At least that's what they've done to me in the past. Maybe you'll be lucky!

Nokia 1680 classic is listed as £10 with fonebank. There is also a Nokia 1680, which I believe the Tesco one is. HTH
