HELP! Birthday Butteryfly Cake Disaster

How about turning them all upside down and covering with icing? Or to save binning them, slice up and put in a trifle?
I agree with Sarahsaver, kids don't care about it so long as its got sweets on. I've served up some crap looking cakes in my time(baking is not my strong point) but everyone ate it and we ended up having a laff about it.
No-one will care in 100 years time...

lillibet-please don't take this the wrong way but are you sure you are not getting stressed out over little things? If I was a guest tomorrow I'd want to enjoy your company, celebrate your sons 1st birthday, eat and drink at your picnic. A squashed fairy bun wouldn't bother me one bit- I promise:)0

OK, panic over. And yes, I may be over-reacting but I have this thing where I have to be the perfect hostess regardless, every single time. Because none of my friends or family are particualy OS I feel like they are alwyas judging me for the OS lifestyle & therefore to fail would be a slur on us all!! It wouldn't be so bad if it was for kids, but the guests are adults:rotfl:(who also like sweets & icing, I know I know:rolleyes:). Plus, they're not just fairy cakes, these are supposed to be the group equlivent of one big brithday cake so farily important they look presentable even if not perfect iIthink?
Anyway, scraped out icing, piped whipped cream in & topped wiht a raspberry & mini happy birthday sign. They look presentable again:D
Thanks very much everyone, as always you are all wonderful:T:A:T:A:T:APost Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!0
