Lottery and tax

My son has just won 8,000 euros on the spanish lottery,if he brings it back to the UK does he have to declare it to the Taxman and then pay tax on it.

    Lottery and other gambling winnings are not taxable in the UK.
    £705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:

    However, it would be adviseable to keep proof that it was gambling winnings in case there is ever an enquiry.
    The only thing that is constant is change.
