Home Insurance through Rpoints/Quidco?

Hey Hey :D

I've got to get an insurance renewal for 22ndAugust and want to do it via Rpoints or Quidco - but I've never used Quidco till recently and instead have been using Rpoints and their Highest Cashback Claim to get the higher amount from Quidco's site.

However, I notice for LLoyds insurance QUidco says they have a low reliability - so if I did this through Rpoints and it didn't track, I'd then have to do a Manual Claim and if that happens can I then make an HCP?? I don't think so... though theuir T&C's do say that they don't offer the HCP if you "have" to make a claim for the transaction. I presume that's for transactions where you must do a manual claim.

I've already paid (or had deducted) a "£5 membership fee" for using the Rpoints cashback against Quidco. so if I used QUidco I'd lose another £5 :o

Advice appreciated ;)

I used Quidco for Barclays in July and took about 2 weeks to track have still yet to be paid but its there.

    Got £55 back via quidco
  • I would go for the Quidco option and get out of RPoints. Quidco always offers much more cashback on everything, and is only 5.00 per year.

They have Asda insurance (55.00), More Than (45.00), Lloyds TSB (110.00) etc etc.....have a look on there, it may be well worth your while.

I had a response from Rpoints to say that they can't do HCP claims for transactions that don't track automatically but they also say that other sites don't do as much in terms of paying out if it doesn't track.

What's Quidco like if the transaction doesn't track properly??
  • Well, I've never had anything that doesn't track properly, but according to others, they are really good at dealing with enquiries. They tell you on each indivual company if they arne't good at tracking etc. I've never had any problems and had over 20 different amounts from then totalling in about 250.00
