Criminal background check - where do I stand?

Good luck, you have nothing to lose by applying have you. If you agreed you were shoplifting you will most likely have received a caution. Do you remember signing anything? I take it you were over 18 years old?
But I think something like 1 in 10 of young people have had some contact with the police - just fill in the form and if it comes up, explain it was an abberation and you have not committed any other crimes.
I can't recall. I remember going in, having my fingerprints taken and them taking all my stuff, but I don't think I signed anything. Really not sure. Ugh wish this wasn't coming back to bite me in the bum.:o I'll post in this thread in a few weeks when I find out the result.0 -

Hi, just wanted to update this thread like I promised I would.
Criminal background check came back clear! I'm beyond happy - I was so worried about the outcome. And of course it means I can go ahead with this job and eventually work in education with no problems.
Thanks to everyone who gave me advice, I really appreciate it. It meant so much to me. Thankyou!0 -
Glad it worked out for you - good luck with your job and your plans for the future.0
