Mortgage coming to end and other Financial Stuff

Options
Hi

I need a point in the right direction. I would like to pay off my mortgage which is about £3000. I have a car loan £10000, credit card debt £1200. I have been medically retired with a lump sum which will cover this but leave me with less than £3000.

Before I pay off my mortgage and find out it might not be right for me, I could do with getting some advice, eg the things to look out for in the future eg loans whilst not working, benefits etc.

Really the whole picture needs looking at before I take this step.

Any constructive advice welcomed.
