    I paid off a credit card,with the £127.00 I got from Quidco.
I have also sent off all the TRY ME FREE products,so I am due £22.00 from these.
My son got a new job,so he has started to pay me £20.00 a week towards his keep.
    so quite a good week.

    mixed one.

We have been away and efforts at DFWness have been tricky, with everything costing more than anticipated. Although in saying that we havent spent that much, but much more than usual.

ON way back home later on the megabus (15 saved off the N express fare- result) to face the bills, I have a feeling things will have gone pearshaped on my week away, I hope everythng has "held" and not bounced etc.

I am thoroughly skint now mind.
But sold a GM book while away, and Ive a 20-odd quid quidco payment pending, so thats something. ;)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Not bad here but things progressing slower than I would like!

    Positives:
    - managed to reduce monthly outgoings by about £170
    - having a really cheap food month by eating up what is in freezer etc.
    - have got some stuff on eBay and Amazon (only one sale so far though! :( )

    Not so good:
    - still haven't got the rented place into a fit state to sublet - finding it really difficult to find time to finish clearing it (one room and garage left to do), then it needs a good clean, some decorating and the garden clearing! We wanted to have it let by the start of September but work is really busy so it has really slowed us down. :(
    - haven't managed to get time to claim work expenses either

Just need a week off to get sorted but no holiday left!

    Hi all,

Things are going fairly well with me, I finish my second job this week but have been good about saving up the money and intending to use it to help supplement my income when I return to being a student (and avoid more debt) in a few weeks time! I have been making the most of the Tesco health and beauty vouchers and have used the beauty products to stock up on little xmas pressies (yes I know we don't want to think about it yet but money will be tighter this year so I'd rather buy things gradually as and when I see good deals). I have been sending off for lots of freebies and have had some good ones come through the letterbox.

Last night I babysat to earn £15 extra, tonight we will stay in watching tv and reading but I don't mind. I am cooking an aduki bean lasagne that I found about on the OS board- smells promising! We did err a bit at lunch and got food from Subway but at least we had a BOGOF voucher.

Nice thread this one, hope the next week is good for all

  • Had a shockingly busy week at work! The busiest I have ever known!

But on the plus side I've now paid off over £7,000 of my debt, got my first Quidco payout of £115, and got another £100 or so still to come! :j

So not too bad a week for me! :D
