Fife Herald and Post - Dunfermline deliveries

Is anyone else in Dunfermline not getting this freebie paper delivered anymore? We haven't had it delivered for 6 months. I wouldn't mind but it has a good prize puzzle page and other comps. Most people bin local freebie papers and therefore there are less entrants.
I've complained to Margaret Kerr at The Scotsman (MKerr@scotsman.com)who is charge of it but she just fobs me off with excuses. Everytime I e-mail her she says that someone will be delivering it soon. She suggested I go to the local office in Dunfermline to get my copy. The problem is that I work Monday to Friday and it isn't open on a Saturday.
I really miss my chance to win a £100 voucher for Asda.

I used to have this problem with the Edinburgh Herald and Post.
The cause is that some of the delivery boys/girls have no time to deliver and instead dump the whole lot in the bin - in fact I did see a girl dump a whole lot in the bin and I challenged her.
The way around this was for me to phone the Herald and post every week, pointing out that there are several local companies advertising and paying them in good faith for the newspaper to be delivered.
I used to call every week and tell them I had not received it.
The Herald and Post is now delivered by the lady around the corner. We get it every week come rain or shine.Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -
I would miss the Asda voucher too.0

The freebie paper pays peanuts to the kids who deliver it so it is not surprising that there are few who want the job.
BTW adults who deliver get paid for 4 weeks holiday a year and if the round takes longer than expected they can put in for more money to take it up to the minimum wage. The kids on the otherhand have no such rights...its take it or leave it and no holiday pay!:j0 -
just realised we havent had ours for ages either....hadnt noticed!
wonder if they are looking for paper boys for this area...my son is waiting on being headhunted!! doesnt realise you have to look for work!x x x0 -

Good news: We finally got a Herald and Post last week, the first in six months.
Bad news: The prize puzzle page is no longer in it!
More bad news: It hasn't turned up this week!! :mad:0 -
I was told that it depends on the area you live in.
I've not had one for 8 years, i live in a small income area.
Can't say if that's true though!Regards,
