Does anyone use this or even buy this?
I have made myown and it works brilliantly - given that i have never bought one before - so i can't really compare with a bought product but it has done 'as it says on the tin'
I used a small pot - like the body shop sample pots or even and old cleaned out eye cream pot
Some eyecream - i used some of the clinique eyecream (all about eyes/repairwear) that i got free from the bonus times. THough the videos all mention unscented white body butter - i thought it might be too oily for eyelid
Some liquid foundation, of the same quantity. Though the videos mentioed concealer i don't have any, but foundation worked the same.
Mix well using a toothpick. et voila.
I only made a tiny bit so i can make it fresh again.
I applied it to my eyelids first before doing the rest of my face and eyes so that it would have time to soak in and i tested with my worst (doesn't give much colour payoff and wears off quickly) eyeshadow being No17 eyedazzle All at Sea - and i was surprised and pleased with the results.
there's lot of other videos too but i watched this first

Hi RoseFairy,
Thanks for the tip. I went out on Sunday night and wanted to use some of my lilac sparkly powder eyeshadow but it doesn't usually last very long and I've not got (or heard of, until recently) eyeshadow primers.
I ended up putting a bit of foundation over my eyelids before I put the eyeshadow on and the end result was OK - the eyeshadow lasted a bit longer than it normally would have done, but I think your method might work a bit better so I might try that next time!

just made my second little pot and was wondering how long ago i made my first. so about a third of a 7ml pot has lasted me a month and i have enjoyed using this that i can't imagine putting eyeshadow on without this base!0

How long did the eye shadow last?
I use elf primer (£1.50) it works but I don't like the fact that it makes the eyeshadow difficult to apply and spoils the colours.0 -
I usually use Urban Decay Primer Potion but I may have a go at making some of this as it is quite expensive although a tube lasts me forever so it does work out to be quite cost effective

I tried the ELF primer and found it totally useless. It ended up in the bin.
Foundation on my eyelids did nothing either.
The new Boots No.7 eye primer is a miracle worker, my eye make-up now lasts a day without creasing/smudging/wearing off. It normally needs reapplying on my lunch break or halfway through my night out.
It is an unattractive pinky orange so I have to put a base colour over my entire eyelid up to the eyebrow though

Hi terraferma
i apply shadow in the morning and i do not have to reapply when on afternoon school run. by evening my eyeshadow is still there - probably not at intense as in the day time - i would say around 6-8pm it fades slightly but there is still enough to have to use EMRemover during evening cleansing routine. i don't know how long the branded items make shadow last but it is better than when i never used any. i went to a party recently which was a lunch do and i did 2 applications of the primer before makeup and my shadow lasted til night cleansing. i don't notice any creasing either.
