csa doing a trace

how flippin long can it take the csa to find someone. They put in for a trace on my ex in feb and im still waiting. Nothing has come back yet but what i cant understand is they have his N.I number, surely its not that difficult to find him through the inland revenue. Has anyone else waited for a trace to come back and how long have you waited?

Depends on how up to date the IR are aswell. Maybe he works cash in hand?

I waited several months, as he kept changing jobs. Even when he got a permanant job, it took a few months before I started to receive payments. The total amount of time without any payments was four years, but at least he now has to pay the arrears as well.

If an employer is late paying tax or registering the new employee to the inland revenue it can take upto 6 months for the csa to get the information from them, there are other trace options but if someone wants to avoid trace its not difficult. Are you able to get any information sometimes the best trace is word of mouth facebook etc which csa staff are not allowed to use.
