Orange Cinema 2 for 1

Sorry if this is the wrong section, but I want to go the cinema using orange 2 for 1 Wednesdays.
How does this work? I've read the info on the orange site and it says I get a text that costs 35p. Do I then have to show the person at the cinema kiosk this text and am I limited to what I can see?
I plan to walk down the cinema later and maybe ask, but hopefully some helpful folk here can maybe save me a trip and have experience of using the 2 for 1 Wednesday offer.
Thanks

You text FILM to the number 241.
They then send you the code and you show it to the customer assistant at the cinema.
You plan on going tomoro? Or next week?
I usually do it on the day.0 -
Thanks.
Probably not tomorrow, but maybe next Wednesday. I thought about doing the text on the day I was going.
I checked the site and it said my local cinema (Cineworld) was part of it and it didn't say their were any restrictions on time of day or movies we were allowed to watch, so will give it a go if it really is as easy as it seems.0 -
I usually do the text on my way to the cinema, then go to the desk and say "2 for 1 to see (THE FILM) please" then the salesperson will usually ask me to read out the code and there you go!
If you go to see a 3d film you will still have to pay the extra price x2 I noticed that it is £2 each at Showcase and £1.50 each at Cineworld.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Don't ever stop believing........
Never get tired of watching you, someday you will break through.....0 -
Thanks jembie. I'll give it a go next week Useful info about 3D films too. Thanks.0

I've done it, its really easy.
We have an old phone we keep for the orange sim.
Text FILM to 241 & thats it:money:
We do it early on the day we plan to go.
ETA We've seen a 3D on it too, got the regular part of the second ticket free & just paid for the extra 3D fee & the glasses - was a couple of quid.0 -
Thanks MrsE - as long it's easy, even i'd have trouble making a mess of it

We live a long way from the cinema so don't go that often, but it is really that easy - and last year when we used it your orange 2 for 1 included a meal at Pizza Express :T0
