Have just had a nice letter from the Rugby Store. They are unable to supply one of the jerseys and have sent a £5 gift card as a gesture of goodwill.
If anyone is in the same position no money for unfullfilled orders will be taken from your accounts and anyone who paid by cheque will receive a refund by post within 7 working days.
What a brilliant offer in the first place and fantastic customer service that does what it says on the tin. (Debenhams take note!!)0

I got the same letter with a £5 Gift Card. Unfortunately i ordered 2 shirts the same, one for my brother and one for his dad. One turned up and one is in the form of a gift card. These tops were to go to the USA for Christmas and i can't send a UK gift card to the USA. Wonder if they will have another sale on before Christmas. I thought i was all organised for Christmas too!!0

I think this sale was to get rid of things in preparation for the coming rugby seasons - so it is unlikely there will be another good sale.hd7481 wrote:Wonder if they will have another sale on before Christmas.
I am also guessing that the Lions shirts were cheap partly because The British and Irish Lions lost 0 - 3 in their tour of New Zealand in 2005. Had they looked like a better team the shirts might have been £10 instead of £50

Well in that case i am not likely to use the £5 giftcard. Would prefer to have my fiver back.0

The £5 giftcard is an added bonus. If they cannot supply your order they will not be taking any money for it from you. Effectively you have £5 credit on a card that can be used for any further orders although I agree the best bargains have gone and P&P is a minimum of £3. If anyone doesn't want their card I'd be grateful to have it to help toward kitting out the kids.Well in that case i am not likely to use the £5 giftcard. Would prefer to have my fiver back0

I get you. I just checked my bank account and noticed they had only taken the money for one of the shirts.0

Did anyone else get a catalogue today marked £2? I assume this is an unsolicited gift because I do not want to pay £2 for these catalogues...?!0

Just to let anyone who has a £5 giftcard know that the Rugby Store has had huge problems with orders made online using the card.
The discount is applied at the checkout but is not deducted - the full amount will be taken from the purchasers card. They recommend giftcard orders are only placed over the phone.
Anyone have any unwanted ones please pm me as hoping to kit out student son.
(Thanks for the PM Steve1905 - much appreciated)0
