Can I ask what your main goal is in using the fabric conditioner? I mean, is it a nice scent, or softness, or less wrinkles, etc.?

ecover is bad for road miles as they ahve to bring it from overseas.
    Its pretty poor stuff too

bio d, eco leaf, earth friendly all work far better.

If they have to test it on animals you know its not good for you anyway as they know there is a risk.

We use citricidal for most things as its a great cleaner & much cheaper too
    find it here

    Hi

    Thanks

Never heard of eco leaf. Their laundry products look good.

What's wrong with not wanting to inflict torture on water fleas? Normally people who care about other species care about the human species too - it's not an either/or situation that you either care about humans or about other animals. Indeed, in my experience people who care about other animals usually do more to help human suffering than the majority do. We certainly shouldn't need to justify caring for any creature.

I care very much for the majority of humans, love all animals, adore my dogs. Therefore I spend a fortune each year to ensure fleas, ticks & worms they pick up are eliminated or should that be murdered & will continue to do so.

I use Bio- d, its quite economical as it comes in a large bottle unlike some other makes that charge a bomb for a small bottle. It has no scent, and meets all the criteria you mentioned. It's on sale at the place i buy it from normally online the only drawback is the postage cost, and it's got no scent, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. i notice when i haven't used it because my clothes go crunchy again so it does work . hope that helps...good luck

Hi, I've started using soap nuts to do my washing, and have found that I don't need any fabric conditioner. Also, I can use a shorter washing cycle as there isn't so much detergent to rinse out of the fabrics.

are my eyes deceiving me here, each to their own. but water fleas.... theres human suffering and your worried about water fleas.....

Because there is human suffering still, does that mean people should not be concerned about other creatures at all? To me, that would be a cruel world.

Just hope you don`t come back as a water flea! :)

Be careful with Ecover products. I get excema and the Ecover washing up liquid stripped the top layer of skin off my hands! I use Surcare products instead. I also use the knobbly balls in the tumble dryer.

    Hi

    Thank for the info.

Just bought a 5 litre Ecoleaf fabric softener from Ethical Superstore. Should last a while.:j:j
