getting another job after being pensioned off

If someone get pensioned off through ill health in the public sector, can they then seek new (similar) employment whilst keeping their pension terms?

Ask the scheme administrators. Most will allow people to work again after a period of time, sometimes this is only a few weeks, but there may be restrictions on the type of work that can be taken.0

Also check for clawback clauses.
I know NHS pensions have these if you go back to work in the NHS after early retirement.0 -
i have a friend who worked for an LA, left early, got his pension benefits and then was
re-employed by the council 9 months later without any loss to his pension.
this was about 10 years ago and he retired some time ago so the law may have changed since.0
