Cancelling loan protection or charges first?

Hello,
I've been doing a DMP with CCCS since Feb now and have only just realised I can cancel my loan protection payments. As I am just starting a new job I want to wait until I have been paid once (for security of my job) before I do this. My question is, would I be better off waiting until I've done this until I send off my initial letter regarding claiming back bank charges (£990) or doesn't it matter? Obviously I'd like to get the ball rolling asap and the charges I' claiming back are from my HSBC current account, nothing to do with my loan. I already have a NatWest current account all set up and my wages going into for my parachute account too.
I've put this on the consumeractiongroup forum too so sorry for anyone that goes on there and sees me twice!

As far as I can tell, there is no link between PPI & claiming back bank charges. The cancelling of PPI is a very straight forward matter & the sooner you do it the more you will be saving. Whereas with the other matter you are potentially suing the bank if they do not cooperate.Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000.
